My small team and I organise Bellydance charity events about three times a year raising money for much needed charities that mean a lot to us and our friends. We have performances from dancers in the NorthWest & Wales areas and beyond, with a fantastic raffle (prizes, kindly donated by local businesses). Only £5 admission (payable at door, or in advance via me) and now held in St Cecilia's Parish Centre, Green Lane, Tuebrook, Liverpool L13 7DT. Doors open 7 pm to midnight. They are always an event not to be missed ~ both bellydancers and NON-bellydancers welcome!! CAN WE DO IT? ~ COURSE WE CAN!!!
WHAT IS A HAFLA? A hafla is a bellydance party or get-together where dancers will dance for one another (sometimes for a wider audience). A friendly and fun environment to show off latest skills! It's an occasion to dress up (if you want), perform a solo or group dance, watch other dancers or just mix with new dance friends. There is usually a bazaar with sparkly goodies for you to buy!
Bellydance can move the body and soul with feel good factors. It's a dance that has evolved and is enjoyed the world over, bringing pleasure to both dancer and spectator alike. As with the charities we support, all dancers, raffle prizes and help are given freely. This ensures we can give more to good causes.
Our first charity event was born on Friday 17 June 2011. Due to the positive feedback from all who came and enjoyed that night, our 32nd event will be Saturday 11th February 2023 and looking as popular as ever! We will be out there again securing some amazing raffle prizes too!! Growing in popularity, with an ever increasing number of requests to take part or just relax and enjoy the show.
